One thing I share
is music.

the other day.
It was a mad house!
The crowd at the check-out
was restless for
Hawaii people.
Everyone in Hawaii
knows "Hawaii Aloha"
many events,
including the legislative
session, open with
this song.
So I like to start
with Hawaii Aloha,
then segue into
Aloha `Oe
to respect this place,
the spirits that linger,
and any local person
in earshot.
I began playing.
A hush.
Then soft singing
by some present.
The time flew by
and it was my turn.
Folks let me know
that they liked it.
Once a woman told me:
"You changed the whole
atmosphere in here!"
What a gift
to be able to
do that!
The gift of music.
Then I left.
Everyone's day
was better after that.
Or so I like to believe.
