"This is the do-it-yourself church.

The only savior in this philosophy is God in you."

Reverend Ike

"Pride, like humility, is destroyed by one's insistence that he possesses it."

Kenneth B. Clark

"Weeds are flowers too - once you get to know them."

A.A. Milne

I'm writing this less than a mile from where young Barry Obama lived and walked to school every day.

Hawaii is a small place. People know each other. Congressman Neal Abercrombie was a grad school friend of Obama senior.

Barry went to school with a friend of ours who remembers him as a "total nerd."
Both of our local papers included Barry's birth in their "Vital Statistics Columns in August of 1961.
He was born at Kapiolani Hospital.
Our State Health Director stated that she has seen "Original Vital Records" that prove these facts.

The President was born in Honolulu
August 4th 1961.

Go to the Hawaii State Library and read those newspapers on microfilm if you wish.
Hauoli La Hanau, Mr. President!
Happy Birthday with Aloha-

President Obama can't be American. He is trying to help the people he was elected to help and not the lobbyist's masters who have for so long purchased the laws of this country for their own benefit.

I'm glad our current prez was a nerd; makes up for the dumb a#$ who just retired.

Cloudia, my ex-landlady is traveling to Hawaii tomorrow--for three days (:

It's a business trip!

Sitting here in 'old Europe' it is always of great interest to read and learn about the U.S.
Please have a nice evening.

The whole birther thing is way more revealing about its followers than it is about Obama.

Tut tut, they can't find anything bad to write about him so they dispute his birthplace? Shame on them.

Love your blue fish.

He was not born in America and is quite possibly a Communist! How dare him actually go to work every day for our nation's interests! He is actually smarter than I am and I don't like that in a President!

He's a beautiful person, and I hope he has a happy birthday.

I know many folks who delight in sending any kind of email that bashes the man. I find myself wondering what exactly upsets them so. They make me sad.

I have recently read President Obama's book "Dreams around my father" - an excellent account of his life.
