A L O H A!
It's Sunday in Waikiki
and YOU are invited!
"So say it loud and let it ring. We are all a part of everything.
The future, present and the past.
The future, present and the past.
Fly on proud bird.
You're free at last."
You're free at last."
Charlie Daniels
MMM! Chicken Katsu ("Cutlet") Curry Saimin... ONO! ("Yummy")
"Food, like a loving touch or a glimpse of divine power,
has that ability to comfort."
Norman Kolpas
"If there is magic on the planet, it is contained in the water."
Loren Eisley
From time immemorial
God was the mystery
beyond comprehension.
Not to be controlled or contained
by mere definition.
But once the church fathers
indulged lofty explanation
in the style and rhetoric
of
Greek philosophy
They unwittingly debased
the Most Magnificent Mystery
into a mere logic-compelling
argument.
But mysteries
are mysteriously "known"
not dissected.
And it is just this
"dissected god"
that has morphed into an
idol.
As the Cloud of Unknowing
drifts above on a
smile.

food indeed has the ability to comfort..
It is well contentment found in the soul knowing that God is God as God knows God to be without a mere definition proffered by a most times foolish creation.
I am hungry.
And what did you wish for with your penny? Aloha, Cloudia.
Looks like some mighty fine comfort food to me. Aloha, cher!
Love your blog, the quotes, and photos that allow reminiscing of Hawaii. Lived there 20 years; worked on Bishop St., commuted over mountains to Temple Valley home and recognize the gift it was, most definitely a special time in my life. Grateful for the experience.
Yummy...the food looks great!!i love your ability to match your picture and quotes together.
I've never had katsu and curry in a saimin before. Who'd have thunk it?
Ah comfort food!
as the cloud of unknowing drifts.......
If I could be as happy and joyful a person as you, how good that would feel.
Aloha
Thanks friends!
'say it lound and let it ring' - indeed demands to be read at least aloud, just before starting to scream, Yes, I love.
Thank you for this 'food of thought' - a wonderful week for you !
the cloud of unknowing.... let it always drift above with a smile....
thank you for visiting my blog and inviting me over.
cheers to you Cloudia.
And it was our bud Einstein who made the point that the irrational mind was somehow more productive or creative than the rational mind, yet we tend to value the rational mind over the irrational.
The heart and mind work together. They are a team. One does not dominate the other.
I enjoyed this post. Thanks, friend.
You've made me very hungry!! YUM!!

Yummy Comments!
Beautiful photos and quotes as always. That Charlie Daniels quote sounded familiar for a reason. I also used it on my recent "Evan" post. Great minds.. and all that. :)
Yes, God will remain a mystery until the end of time. Although, He does reveal very little about Himself through the ages. Thanks for the thought-provoking post. Happy Sunday.
wonderful post!
