the angels come to visit us,
and we only know them when they are gone.”

"Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity,of life,of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day.Never lose a holy curiosity."

She missed her senior prom last Saturday.
But Sheryl Wolfe missed little elsethat life has to offer.
The Mililani High School senior,a model, friend, daughter and sister, was to relinquish her title:Miss Hawaii Teen United Statesearly next month, but there was so much more to look forward to.
Partial to the beach, to her modeling, and to athletics,Sheryl always felt especially drawn to those with developmental disabilities.
"She had a special place in her heart for themand was thinking of a careeralong that line,"
her father, Alan, told a reporter.
But life is what happenswhile we are busy making other plans.
Last week,Sheryl collapsed in class and was rushed to Queens Hospital.
A stroke had felled this young girl.
Her organ donationsare her giftto four Hawaii peoplewho will now be able to continuewith this lifethanks to the choicethat she expressed on her driver's license. . .
"She was just so loved and full of energy. She always has been that person who wasthere for you in a second, the most important friendI've ever known in my life."

smiles. good morning...love the pink in the sky...and your tale of the present and then her giving t away though organ donation. nice i loved it.
have a wonderful weekend!
I especially like the quote on change.
It makes me a little sad to learn about the passing of a very young person. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
A fitting final gift for one who learned to live so well and contemplate others so early.
A moving post! Great photos and tender words.
what cute pink in the sky,
excellent post!
such beautiful pictures and words. life can go on when someone cares.
Lovely sky pic and tribute. Each day is a gift that we need to treasure, because we never know what tomorrow will bring. Aloha, cher!
What a sad thing and from it comes so much good ... aloha
Hadn't really thought that I wasn't "guaranteed the next day," although I know lives can change in mere instants of time. There are angels in abundance for such wise youngsters who thought ahead to consider organ donation.

Bless her sweet soul. Thanks for the reminder, Cloudia.
Thank YOU
Nice post today Cloudia. :)
Such a sad story about that young lady. I am better for having read it. What a good person. So giving.
I heard about this tragedy on our news. It says a lot about her that she was an organ donor. Thank you for bringing this to light with your very caring post Cloudia. My heart goes out to her family.
Touching post, Cloudia. Yesterday I was telling a friend about an experience 30 years ago when I was in college. A classmate wanted to talk to me, but I felt too busy because I had a big exam the next day. We made a date for 48 hours later, but she never made it. She was brutally murdered while I was taking my exam. I will never know what she wanted to talk to me about. So if you have a sense that another human needs some of your time, other things just aren't always so important.
A sad reminder of how transient life is and how quickly and unexpectedly it can be over.
Let's keep going and let's keep that curiosity alive.
She sounded like a remarkable young lady.
That last story is numbing! We never know. Well said. Thanks for the reminders, dear friend.
As we are all one-winged angles, only able to fly while embracing eachother, this entry of yours, makes life reach up high, to where it belongs.
A wonderful start into the weekend.
Words fall short to fully honor this young woman...but what you said was beautiful.
Peace to all.
Great seeing YOU here today
Good to come back here and read and feel at home all over again. Thank you.

Aloha, Cloudia !
Cloudia, congratulations on the book.
I really like the blue sky with orange clouds.
Russ:)
Scenery of the eternity is splendid.
And a blue sky is beautiful.
Thank you for showing a wonderful view.
I like the Chinese proverb!
And I'm glad they could find a ray of hope in all that heartbreak.
