PARADOX:
The mural on this
construction fence shows
the paradise they are selling-
The paradise they are infringing.
The Sunset Cannot Be Fenced
I like what this photo reveals
about the back streets and
older infrastructure of Honolulu.
It says a lot about how
local people live,
in cinderblock apartments,
riding mopeds.
But if you look to the
end of this street, you
see the peaks of the Ko`olau Mts.

My favorite is the unfenceable sky! Great post. Thanks for showing us "behind the scenes" at Waikiki.
Me too, I love the unfenceable sky.
Funny thing the moped stood out first for me, but I always love the mountains! Aloha, enjoy your off the beaten paths, everyday.
Hello sweet woman:)))))))Nice post!
I wish you a happy evening:))
Paradise being infringed - it happens everywhere, Cloudia!
yes, paradise being built up.
Thanks Dear pals!
Andy thought of the same lyric as I did.
Oh the irony of the first fence.
And the magnificance of that unfenced sky.
I do not like tall buildings.
I like to look at the sky not live in it.
Merle............
Don't fence me in applies to the sky and brave free spirits.
Progress isn't always a "good" thing. - Too bad they've infringed on the beautiful countryside with highrise buildings. - I agree that sunset was to pretty to be fenced in.
Too many huge buildnings in the paradise.
Thanks for sharing.
Wish you happy friday.
Hello Cloudia, it is sad how much building is going on in you Paradise. I love the sunset and the view of the mountains. Thanks for sharing, enjoy your day and weekend!
Back streets and old infrastructure look like home. :-)
