Waikiki By Night Looking Towards Diamond Head.

“There’s always people
looking the other way when
the miracles take place -
Dawn Reddens The Alenuihaha Channel;
- people who want only
a good night’s sleep when
the stars are dancing,
comets falling, the angels
leaning low out of midnight
with their trumpets,
their cantatas of longing.”

View From The 38th Floor
Waikiki was a sandy area where
fresh water
fresh water
from the mountains mingled
with the salt surf creating a place
famous for healing from ancient times.
Hawaiian Royals kept gracious beach
homes here, while Hawaiians grew taro
and Asian subjects raised ducks and rice.

Though an urban resort today,
I heard roosters crowing while
taking the pre-dawn pics above.

That's what makes a rich community, many different cultures sharing together.. happily Perth is the same ✨
Wonderful night photography.
So happy to see both of you today!
Grand views! That first shot is my favourite.
Love those high-rise views. Does Hawaii have earthquakes or just volcanoes?
Outstanding views!
I'm not born again until about 11:00.
What a view they have, Cloudia!
Night shots are amazing and then the dawn arrives. Beautiful.
It's been a long while since I've been to Waikiki. What I remember is that all the people, traffic, and shops didn't ruin the ocean, the breeze, the sun, the nature for me. I loved swimming in the ocean as the sun rose. That is heaven.
