"Every adversity, every failure,
every heartache carries with it
the seed of an equal
or greater benefit.”
Napoleon Hill

"I was awakened by a
tremendous earthquake,
and though I hadn't ever before
enjoyed a storm of this sort,
the strange thrilling motion
could not be mistaken, and
I ran out of my cabin, both glad
and frightened, shouting,
"A noble earthquake!
A noble earthquake"
feeling sure I was
going to learn something.”
John Muir
If we could get as excited over
our ideals and aspirations
as we are about what annoys us,
we would find ourselves
experiencing our ideals,
seeing them reflected back
to us from everywhere,
and be living the thrill
of our highest aspirations.

Your photos are heart warming, as we sit in the cold!
Interesting photos and great quotes!
Your second shot really stands out to me.
I have a lot of seeds stored up.

Cool pictures and quotes. I'm not sure I agree with Muir that earthquakes are noble...
I'm hoping the flowers will be blooming here soon.
Beautiful photos! Love the quotes. I actually recognized the second as John Muir.
As always, I love your quotes. Though I've experienced many earthquakes, I can't imagine calling any of them noble. My experience is more in the terrifying range.
Great photos and very astute quotes, especially the last one. Thank you so much for linking up to My Corner of the World this week!
