A L O H A From Honolulu!
The moon is alive
because of the darkness-
how could we ever be afraid
of something that gives
the stars a home?

be a light.

Even more beautiful
than the Islands themselves
are her people!
are her people!
Away from busy streets
Where tourists roam,
There are quiet side streets
Where locals still live.
Where tourists roam,
There are quiet side streets
Where locals still live.
As our Royals once did.
They're not as glamorous,
But full of memories and life.
In the morning, you'll see
Our kids head off to school.
Evening families gather
For dinner and a game.
But full of memories and life.
In the morning, you'll see
Our kids head off to school.
Evening families gather
For dinner and a game.
There's a community
On these side streets,
That's hard to find elsewhere. So next time you're in Waikiki,
Take some time to explore
Beyond the tourist trail.
I'll see You There!
They can distinguish
good from bad people.
A cat may look at a king.
That she is patient with me,
always expecting the best
gives me opportunity
to grow day by day.
My little angel - or am I hers?
We'll call it a tie

Pixie looks like she's ready to be the judge of our souls with her glowing eyes! I love the sky shots and the Aloha people and the side street where community is built. Have a glorious Sunday with Judge Pixie (soon to be more famous than Judge Judy...)
Gorgeous photos, captions and verse!
Thank you dears 🙏🏽
Lots of ALOHA there - which is lovely.
❤️✨
I really don't know what to say but still appriciate your blog and the joy it gives to read it every day.
Pixie is an angel.
Love the moon, rainbow and your angel Pixie.
The mural is pretty.
Happy Sunday, have a wonderful week!
Nice poem about the side streets.
The group photo of the people stand out the best
That is a lovely poem!
Every city has the everyday places where the real community lives. The best places to wander. Lovely post, Cloudia.
Wow Cloudia, they are beautiful pictures, love to Maui strong.
Sunshine is certainly beautiful, but I do love the night sky!
There is something to be said for the beauty that is found in darkness.
Yes, the people are the place. 🩵
How are you doing? I hope you were not too close to the fires.
Enjoy the darkness and the respite from the burning sun.
Such a pleasure each of you brings just by visiting. I enjoy your words very much. But just seeing you is a beautiful thing. To know you find something worthwhile here means a lot to Pixie and myself. Meow! With Aloha Friends
I loved the Aloha photo! Aloha right back them! And, I'm sending a soft little ear scratch to Pixie.
Beautiful photos and words. I see a face in the sky that stands out in the first image. Incredible indeed!
Good to think of all the other people who live and work in Hawaii, not forgetting them when thinking intently about those who have lost so much. Visiting the islands has always been wonderful, but it's time to consider all those who should be owners but aren't always given the privileges they earn.

I believe getting off the beaten path anywhere is rewarding. Our cat has his own personality. He cries if we forget to add ice to his water bowl. Spoiled for sure. Janice
Thanks so much friends!
I hadn't seen that Bill! Thank you so much for sharing. I am going to work on that photo to bring out the face. Thank you Aloha!
I'm thinking Miss Pixie just finished a conversation with E.T. since her eyes are glowing. Linda in Kansas
What a lovely poem. Just beautiful. And that mural is fabulous. So glad you shared the link to the fund page because these are the people who actually NEED the money, not their corporate employers.
Very well said, and Pixie is so pretty!
Nice mural, too.
Love Pixie's photo.
Always great to wander off the beaten track, there is always a surprise.
Nice mural Cloudia, thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
