A L O H A From Honolulu!
There are two ways to do anything.
We can do it in order to make
life better for me, or we can
do it in order to make life better
for someone else, as well as for me.
The first way gets the thing done;
the second way gets the thing done
and makes life a sacrament.
Sister Joan
Sister Joan
Young and brash
I saw faults everywhere,
A world of wrongs
not a garden to share.
But time the sculptor
chiseled at my view,
Softened the edges
Made my world new.
Flaws, like brushstrokes,
blended in new light,
A tapestry of growth,
What a beautiful sight.
Curses turned to benedictions
sweet and strong,
Each imperfection
A part of life's own song.
No longer critic
with a judging eye,
But student learning
as the moments fly.
Now with gentle years
my heart finds praise,
In every sunset
Of life's winding ways.
Let others judge
I'll find the light instead,
The beauties blooming
where shadows once spread.
Cloudia Charters
Don't wait for inspiration.
It comes while you are working.
Henri Matisse
Dare to err and to dream.
Deep meaning often lies
in childish plays.

Pixie is posing on her chair as an inspiration to all of us. Love your poetic reflection on life and love and dispelling the shadows.
Thanks T
Love that final quote - and am a beauty addict.
Always great photos and profound quotes to ponder
The hawk is a great bird for the theme.
Beautiful photos. Take care, enjoy your day!
A beautiful shot from Pixie and the more shadow the more light to produce it.
Beautiful hawk!
...amen, Henri Matisse!
Wonderful shots.
Love, love, love your poem here today, Cloudia! Thanks so much for inspiring us all with your words.

Thanks so much friends! Aloha to each of you!
Brilliant words today, Cloudia. ;-)
Good words by Sister Joan, and everyone else, of course.
I like Sister Joan's quote. Very true!
Love the bird of prey and Pixie the best. Beautiful.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Cloudia. Scritches to Pixie. ♥
I really ought to try a poem before April finishes!
Yours are wonderful.
I didn't realize you also wrote poetry. It was lovely to read and quite meaningful. You always find such perfect quotes and the photos that seem made for them. Thank you, Cloudia and Pieie, I have enjoyed this post very much.
