I would imagine that hope and optimism would be in short supply in Israel, Gaza, Ukraine, and other places around the world. Uplifting aphorisms are of little comfort as you bury your dead and watch your world smashed around you.

So what do you suppose hope and optimism order as their drinks in a bar, or are they perhaps just there to inspire some poetry? I think I'd like to hear more of that tale of the visit to the bar...

Thanks Mike! Yes, all shots are mine unless otherwise credited. I do also use archive shots taken with other cameras at earlier times. Generally speaking, when I use an archive shot though, I freshen it up, recrop it, and do other adjustments as my vision has changed with time. Thanks for asking an interesting question
