Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy. I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.

Dewdrops on a lotus leaf
Holding truths beyond belief
In holy eyes
Compassion gleams
Wisdom flows
In gentle streams.
Silence speaks
What words cannot
In emptiness
Full truth is taught.
And in the spaces
Between all things
The highest power
un-endingly sings

Thank you for your hopeful poem. And the wisdom and beauty of your posts.
This post is so uplifting and peaceful. Thank you for bringing Honolulu's beauty and wisdom into my day.
Beautiful words Cloudia! I love the duck, the lizard and the doggies with stroller.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your critter post. Take care, have a great weekend.
Nice quote from Robin Wall Kimmerer. Gives a little bit of courage in dark times.
A beautiful reminder that even in hardship, the world offers us grace and wonder—and choosing joy is a powerful, reciprocal act of gratitude.
...there sure are kooks out and about!
I like the thought about allowing happiness and not chasing it.
Seeing a king walking along with his suitcase full of (?) makes me wonder what the people who just passed him were saying afterwards. Great crown! And on a serious note, I really loved the Kimmerer quote today.
Love the quotes and your poem, Cloudia. ;-)
Love your beautiful words, my friend!
Pixie introducing another beautiful poem from you. Blessings, Cloudia!
I would love to hear the King's backstory.
Today's post is awesome. I love the gecko letting happiness seep into my soul. I love Pixie looking up at the dogs walking their baby and wondering why she doesn't have servant dogs to take her out promenading. And that last shot of a hot surfer king is priceless (so is your poem)!
The animal pictures are so cute.
Glorious rainbow.
