A  L  O  H  A !
My (Blog Invisible) husband
 said today,
 regarding moving off of,
and selling our boat:
" We will retire from
 life-as-chess game,
 and play checkers!
 We are simplifying
and down-sizing
in order to be as happy
 and carefree as possible
 for as long as possible
on what we have.  "
 Happily,
 even as inevitability
 rushes headlong
in our direction,
 it brings with it
promises
 too.
" To be happy
you must be your own
 sunshine. "Charles Edward Jerningham
" The best is yet to be."
I feel that  to be true.
And such is my wish
for You
& for Me.
Thanks for visiting!

Great! Happy Mother's Day!
He's your check-mate. :)
Downsized already now I want to live outsides.
Thank you. Have a wonderful day.
Mahalo for mothering all of your blog buddies! Cool art about the Vancouver rain. Is that a young turkey ready to eat Pirate Kitty? DrumMajor
Chess to checkers should be a good move.
Happy stay!
I like the chess versus checkers analogy. I need to do that as well. Go to checkers.
Hi Cloudia,
Have you changed back? What happened? Your new posts still appear on my dashboard. I simply clicked and there you are again!
Happy Mother's Day.
Sunshine, yes, we must find our own, in little things, small moments.
So often I think the best simply is...here, now. Have a great day!
Enjoy the simple life, may it be long and happy!

Fantastic! Happy Mother's Day!
Me and my wife have already down-sized some time ago ...
Good idea that.
Well ALOHA and BONJOUR!!!
I believe in downsizing too. Now in our 50s, we are doing just that and loving it.
THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY POST! Will you participate in the Paris Link Party? I was not sure !!!
Let me know, please. It would be great to have you! Anita
Comes to us all - if we're lucky. The best of luck to you.
Lovely thoughts and post! I was downsizing too, until suddenly, one of my grown children and my 90 year old father moved in. Now I find myself looking for a bigger house! :)
I suppose if it had been a houseboat as in Sausalito, the amenities would be better.
I think it was a brilliant move Cloudia, you love your new digs high in the sky don't you. The simple life is the best life, not so much to worry about losing!!
Ha, ha, I love the saying about Vancouver...I live in Victoria where the weather is very similar! (although I'm in Mexico at the moment soaking up the sunshine).
We downsized hugely 3 years ago and love it, but it's much easier to do where the weather cooperates and most of "living" can be done outside.
