Stump Clump

A  L  O  H  A !
 How disheartening
to see this stump.

It had been
a lovely tree I
saw most every day-

What fierce blossoms,
and welcome shade it
gave us for years

 How long does it take
for a dead, stump
in dry dirt
to come to life?
[ look at that top pic again ]

It's just been a
couple months it seems!

This blossom lantern, depending
from a Rainbow Shower Tree knows:

" The best time to plant a tree
is twenty years ago,
the second best time
is today. "
                 Chinese Proverb

Thank You
for resting a while!
                      Fondly, cloudia

May the stump slowly feed the life and nurture a seed from itself to once again offer another generation shade.

Sorry you have lost a favourite tree. I hope there was a good reason for cutting it down. On the bright side, the stump shapes make a nice photo.

So sorry that the tree has to go but it leaves behind a beautiful design. That is a lovely blossom lantern.

A stump is a melancholic sight; but a growth from one offers hope.

Always sad to see an old tree gone.

The tree got choped down...I wonder why. Now have new leaves growing from there. Hopefully this will survive longer
