How disheartening
to see this stump.
It had been
a lovely tree I
saw most every day-
What fierce blossoms,
and welcome shade it
gave us for years
How long does it take
for a dead, stump
in dry dirt
to come to life?
[ look at that top pic again ]
It's just been a
couple months it seems!
This blossom lantern, depending
from a Rainbow Shower Tree knows:
" The best time to plant a tree
is twenty years ago,
the second best time
is today. "
Chinese Proverb
Thank You
for resting a while!
Fondly, cloudia

I love this marvelous pink flower...

May the stump slowly feed the life and nurture a seed from itself to once again offer another generation shade.
Wonderful thoughts, and what fine photos.
Top purple flower.
Greetings,

Sorry you have lost a favourite tree. I hope there was a good reason for cutting it down. On the bright side, the stump shapes make a nice photo.
So sorry that the tree has to go but it leaves behind a beautiful design. That is a lovely blossom lantern.
A stump is a melancholic sight; but a growth from one offers hope.
Goodness even the stump is beautiful Cloudia I would have loved to see the tree.. or maybe not, I would have been sad too :(
Love your time lapse photography of the stump!! Cool post!
I love trees; there are about a dozen on my property.
The rejuvenation of nature's an astonishing thing!
Thanks EACH of YOU for this shower of blessings!
Love the Chinese proverb - and the resilience of the tree.
i always hate to lose trees, too.
Tree stumps always make me sad too, Cloudia! Good to see the sprout!
Always sad to see an old tree gone.
The tree got choped down...I wonder why. Now have new leaves growing from there. Hopefully this will survive longer
Fascinating!
Have a great week, Cloudia!
Wil, ABCW Team.
Two months, hurrah!
