If I were him I would hire extra inspectors and be on these places case for another year. Close them down for any violation. Then he can make them kiss his ass to open back up.

Many of our bars were closed too and are s.l.o.w.l.y reopening. And may yet slam shut again. Which is fine by me. A drink is not worth my life - or anyone else's.
I love the Rosenau quote because it is SO true and thought provoking. I also love it for the mural you have shared with Monday Murals.
Personally, I think your mayor is wise. Our bars have been opened on a 1/2 basis with hours cut. I worry about people going to bars just for the socialization. The drinking causes one to loose their inhibitions, which leads to the virus spreading. I think this is a FABULOUS photo and quote for T this upcoming Tuesday, dear.

The lockdown/shut down is really hard and devastating on businesses but if you watch what's happening in the UK and Europe, it's about to get a whole lot worse. I can understand why Honolulu is being careful.
