Portals

 A   L   O   H   A  !

For a long time

nothing but

undifferentiated

clouds.

Then, subtly, a portal

seems to appear.

Yes. There it is. See it?

OK Enter

Blue Skies say:

"All Is Well."

To our eyes,

portals of the Soul,

that express and also

feed on beauty,

Like this sky

beckoning "Enter"

Invitation to a

wondrous pink world

Torii have been around for centuries, though their true origin is shrouded in mystery. The word itself derives from phrases that mean "pass through and enter" and "bird perch" (in Japan, birds have a symbolic connection with death). The earliest toriis that still stand today were built as far back as the 12th century, but the structure's history stretches back to the Heian period in the 900s.

Entrance to Waikiki

You must leave your ego

on the doorstep before

you enter love.

      Kamand Kojouri

Let my soul smile

through my heart and

 my heart smile through

my eyes, that I may

scatter rich smiles

in sad hearts.

Great mural! I love the way you've cropped the Pixie picture to make it seem like she's peering through a portal. Cool post with the torii.

That was a fascinating mural, Cloudia, but both the hibiscus and Pixie in close-up were fabulous.

Oh, wow, Cloudia. That looks like a cross in the sky to me. It says look up. It says hope. Thanks.

LOVE all of these! Especially the Torii! Even though I live in an old mining town in BC Canada, we have quite a number around here from the Japanese who were interred here. They are such spiritual gateways!Thank You! Have a most wonderfully Happy Day!
