The Ant
Hulu is small,
but the earth
knows his weight.
He carries mountains
one crumb at a time.
No hurry - no worry
one thing at a time.
When winds
bend the grass,
he walks through it
as a marvelous forest.
Always finding
the way home.

Karen Carpenter had a blissful voice. She left us all too soon.
The poem is wonderful, and the image of Hulu carrying mountains one crumb at a time is so powerful. Beautiful photos from Honolulu!
Hello, Cloudia
Beautiful rainbow capture. I love your poem and the quote from Joseph Campbell. Cute photo of the doggie statues. Pixie is a sweetie.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thanks so much for leaving me a comment.
Great poem and hi to Pixie :-) Have a great day.
Pixie looks content.
The faces of the stuffed dogs are realistic, but the paws are clearly not. Fun picture!
"The Ant"
Nice work
It would be difficult to not love those stylish dogs.
Beautiful post, Awesome pics, 1st photo stunning. Hello to cute Pixie :)
You remind me of Mary Oliver with your ant poem...I mean that as a complement! Sweet Pixie is definitely wise and beautiful today!
The first quote is too true for me right now. : (
Your poem is absolutely wonderful!
Love the ant poem and the complete rainbow, Cloudia. ;-)
What a wonderful poem about the lowly ant, Cloudia. Loved your photos, too. Blessings!
Great poem about ants, Cloudia. Pixie is secretly laughing at the hound-dog style. It is not for regal felines, although those "pups" look fine for drooling dogs. (As in the great Sassy quote from Homeward Bound: "Cats rule, dogs drool.)
Any dog would be styling in those outfits!
...why do people dress up their pets?
What a priceless display, that hat really makes the pup stand out.
Karen and Richard Carpenter were constantly playing in my world so many lovely songs and many felt like they were written for me. As for knowing where I'm going, I find like yesterday beginning in one spot and just seeing where I land is the wonderful journey for me! Aloha to you and Pixie too!
