While scientific explanations describe a moonbow as a rare atmospheric phenomenon caused by moonlight refracting through water droplets, spiritual and symbolic interpretations focus on its ethereal beauty
and rarity:
Some people look on a moonbow
as a spiritual sign,
A Great Invocation and Blessing
laid like light across the dark.
A moonbow is a rainbow that
has learned to sing.
Where the rain meets moonlight,
the sky remembers beautiful things.
Hope does not always blaze;
sometimes it bends softly
across the night like a moonbow.
The moonbow is a reminder
that even in the night,
the covenant of light remains.
What better sign can
there be of hope
than a rainbow breaking
through the darkness,
a moonbow arching over
every earnest prayer,
a moonbow only
the patient will see?

Between the palms
and the moon,
the night remembers
how to breathe.
A smile happens in a flash,
but its memory
can last a lifetime.
A single idea, a
sudden flash of thought,
can be worth more
than a lifetime of routine.
In a flash the mind
understands
what the heart has
known for years.

Moonbow II
Grief is a road that never straightens,
yet still the light keeps bending toward us,
soft as a hand that will not let go.
Some promises do not blaze at noon;
they arrive in silence,
drawn in pale, patient arcs across our darkness,
teaching the heart to breathe again.
The soul has its own hidden moonbow,
appearing only when sorrow and love
fall together like rain—
a quiet sign that nothing given in love
is ever truly lost.

Just for you, friends 💞
Great poems tonight, Cloudia! Love the moonbows!
The moon is rather special.
Omg, thinks Pixie. Look at the state of my whiskers!
Thanks for posting.
Thanks for this moonbow post...I've never seen one (and you actually have a double here!)
I had never heard of a moonbow but it’s great, as is your poem including “ a rainbow that has learned to sing.”

...Cloudia, I'm glad that you captured it.
Magic, Cloudia. ;-)
Your poems are more than touching, they fill the soul. I have seen moonbows before great shot of this one.
Both your Moonbow poems brought me to tears, Cloudia. They are beyond exquisite. Blessings!
I don't think I have ever seen a moonbow. Stunning!
I've never heard of a moonbow. Thanks for the education today.
