Shimmer With Luck

A L O H A  From
H O N O L U L U
From this land of
everyday rainbows,
may color find you
even when winter
seems gray.

Have you had
your rainbow today?

Quiet arc that says
the storm has passed
but love has stayed.
Cloudia Charters

Lions are already stretching
in the side streets, young dancers counting beats
by drums and cymbals
heard blocks away!

Soon the town will
shimmer with luck, firecrackers popping,
faces lit with surprise
and joy.
We will feed them dollars
our paper wishes into red mouths
of the lions
blessing the new year!
(Can you tell I can't wait?)

Rainbows are
Horizon laughter
after tears,
The sky’s way of saying:
Stay. Unbind.
There's more color
In you yet!

Love You,
Cloudia & Pixie

𑄒𑄒𑄒

Drink in
your blessings
this morning,
slow as
first light
in the sky.

You've definitely given me my rainbow for the day, Cloudia, in your photos and your words. Blessings!

Still dark out, but I guess there was some shimmering yesterday. 😄

I watched a rather old TV show the other day, where (in supposedly early 20th century) a woman kissed a man. He was shocked. I remember just once when I kissed a man who was shocked (he must have been early 20th century but it was the 2000s!) How many women wait for a man to be kissed?

Then He Kissed Me, from my decade! Thanks for this, so fun to hear again! It was recorded the year I graduated in a1963, also the year JFK was assassinated. This one little clip brought back a flood of memories. Happy T Day.

What a fun photo of the rainbow, and a great poem you wrote too. Have a happy T day and give Pixie a pat for me.

Love the picture of the guy literally eating the rainbow! Pixie looks like she is ready for lion dances and doesn't need all the practice. February 17th the fire horse will gallop in with luck and success for all, and the lion dancers will eat their fill of red envelopes.
