Monday Murals
As the lunar year approaches
and the lion waits
behind the curtain,
I remember: renewal is
noisy, brave, and
beautifully imperfect.
Let the old year carry away
what no longer serves you,
so the new year finds you
light and unburdened.
Standing at the gate
of the lunar year,
I bow to what has been,
and open both hands
to what may come.

David has pushed his luck many many times over the years.
Great captures today. I love the quote from Hippolyte Taine (partly because he has such a snazzy name). Pixie looks like she loves the quote, too. I am getting ready for the Year of the Fire Horse, too, and new beginnings. Great thoughts from you and Pixie about the coming lunar new year.
