Things I Noticed Today

  A  L  O  H  A

From

Honolulu

After every storm,
the sky remembers
how to shine.

Rainbows do not
erase the rain;
 they reveal
its hidden beauty,

Beauty that arrives
by surviving
the storm.
     Pixie

 The secret of happiness
lies in taking a
genuine interest
in all the details
of daily life,
 and in elevating
them to art.
    William Morris

Rainbow Shower Tree Blossoming!

You are never too old
to set another goal or
to dream a new dream.
 C.S. Lewis

Angels are closest
when we need them
the mostest.
They don’t always sparkle
or show up the boldest.
They slip in like slippers
on cold kitchen floors,
or hum in the hinges
of half-open doors.
They hide in the pause
between “I can’t”
and “I might,”
in the soft little shift that
turns wrong into “right.”
They don't come
to dazzle
or fix every tear,
just to sit with our ache
and make space for it, Dear.
Sometimes they feel
like a hand on your back
when the road disappears
and you can't find
the track.
And sometimes—this part
is the quietest thing—
they don’t feel like angels
at all, not with wings…
Just a piece of you
that refuses to fall,
a small stubborn spark
that outlasts it all.
So if nothing seems bright
and the day feels
the longest,
remember: that’s when
Angels are working
their strongest.

I love your William Morris quote. I always try and check for the details, especially if I find myself getting bored. Lots of surprises in the details sometimes.
