At this hour
the sky leans down—
looking to remember.
Water holds it,
as it always does
kissing
this other self.
Between them,
a private vow—
two yet
never separate.
Dusk (or dawn?)
they let themselves blur,
one into the other
forever and an age.
Here as witness
we too are doubled—
watching
and being watched.
Admiring ourselves.

a fool never will.

Hula is the heartbeat
of the Hawaiian People.
Only a person who
has passed through
the gate of humility
can ascend to the
heights of the spirit.
Sitting silently,
doing nothing,
the spring comes and
the grass grows by itself.

That first photo and your poem are beautiful. The hula statues is gorgeous. But the Sitar video is excellent. Thank you for sharing.
Your reflection photo and your amazing poem literally compliment one another. Just perfection, Cloudia!
