Camera Eyed

A  L  O  H  A !

Shooting flowers, is like playing 'keep away' with the wind.

It's all about light,
and shadow;
Light reflected,
direct,
diffused.

Photography is about texture
and choices. . .

If you see it, shoot it!

" There is no camera that can make a picture.
No lens, no lights can make a picture.
Forget about different cameras
and accessories,
just use what you've got.
Only your eyes can make a picture. "

Daryl Fashionista.

" The artist's vocation
is to send light
into the human heart. "

George Sand

      To take good pictures,
carry your camera
everywhere.

Look at everything.
Really look around.

If something strikes your eye,
SHOOT it!

Crouch, climb on a low wall,
take a step off the path.

If you miss a shot,
don't feel bad.
Celebrate
that you saw it
in the first place!

And when you are ready
exhaling will steady your hand.

Shoot quick
shoot again.

If captions pop into your head,
use them!

And most of all:
have fun.
Shoot
have fun
shoot some more.
Thanks for visiting!
Leave us your photo tip
in comments.

Lovely, indeed. Leafy, colorful, lightness and shadow.

Alberto Korda -- any camera can work, so long as you aim, point and shoot with spirit.

Lovely birdie in paradise being shy with the wind and hiding behind a big leaf. I noticed that wind changing my photos too when visiting. Took a photo of a gecko on a leaf once, but oops he wasn't on the top, he was shadowing from behind! Fooled me twice! DrumMajor

It's raining here, is it raining there? No photo opps today if this weather continues. Wouldn't want Rylan to get wet.

These are great. I never go anywhere without a camera these days and I miss a lot of shots but always say to myself sometimes the best camera is in your head. Thank you for your caring comments on my recent posts Cloudia. So very much appreciated by all of us.

We are so lucky with digital cameras these days. They make it possible to think more about what we are seeing than about photographic techniques.
I lack photoshop so can't get some of the lovely effects you do. Maybe I should make the investment.

I use Googles free Picasa to mess around with my shots! Try it, Hattie

You're right Cloudia, the camera goes everywhere with me, almost like an accessory. Love the first picture of the Bird of Paradise, one of my favourites.

I have forwarded this my camerman. As a photographer he will really enjoy your exceptional photography.
He's always talking about "light", when i first met him and he would say "look at the light through the trees, or over there, look at the shades of light", I never saw what he did, gratefully, now I see it too.

:) i've seen The Light.
