Not Sorry But Wise

 A  L  O  H  A !

The art of advocacy is

to lead you to

my conclusion

on your terms.

       Adam M. Grant

Affliction comes to us,

not to make us sad

but sober; not to

make us sorry

but wise.

      H. G. Wells

In Asian languages,

the word for 'mind' and

the word for 'heart'

are the same. So if

you're not hearing

mindfulness in some deep way

as heartfulness, you're

not really understanding it. . .

. . . Compassion and kindness

towards oneself are intrinsically

woven into it. You could

think of mindfulness

as wise and

affectionate attention.

I have the sense that you do, but wish you would take the plunge.

I think it's a fairly common affliction, EC. It just surprises me that as I get older, it seems to be getting worse, not better.
