There will be times
when you will be in the field
without a camera. And,
you will see the most glorious
sunset or the most beautiful
scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you
can't record it. Sit down,
drink it in, and enjoy it
for what it is.

The camera is an instrument
that teaches people
how to see
without a camera.

We should be more like cats in many ways, probably.
Together these reflections remind us that the greatest images are not always captured by a lens, they are quietly gathered by a mindful heart, savoured in the present moment like a cup of tea, and carried forever in memory.
Great quotes - I'm going to borrow the Lange one! And such a lovely portrait of a woman and Pixie! But the steaming cup with the rainbow is incredible!
Thank you for the reminder that I need to put my camera (and phone!) away every once in a while and just enjoy what's around me.
We sometimes get trapped behind a lens, Cloudia. ;-)
Pixie is the epitome of poised, Cloudia. Great post!
Hello Cloudia,
Some of my best images were only captured in my mind.
Lovely sky images and your sweet Pixie.
Take care, have a great day and a happy week!
I love that first quote and the face of the woman. She is beautiful.
...cats drink tea?
I love that so many drink references in this post link back to T Tuesday. What a wonderful post.
The very few times I haven't had my camera with me, I have regretted it. I try to have it wherever I go, even if it's just to sit on my porch or my back patio.
Thanks for this post referencing both coffee and tea as we celebrate our 13th Anniversary for T this Tuesday. Thanks, dear Cloudia and Pixie.
Please don't forget to link this great post.
What kind of tea does Pixie drink? Is it catnip tea? Green tea? Oolong? or perhaps Earl Gray?
Pixie looks stoic.
